Hand Tufted
Hand Tufted rugs provide flexibility in their use. The use can range from a custom rug in a lobby or dining room all the way to wall-to-wall carpet in a ballroom. WEL International Hand Tufted Rugs and Carpet designs are limited only to your imagination. Hand Tufted rugs are created by printing the design on 100% cotton primary backing then hand tufting the fibers into the printed design. A secondary backing of cotton mesh and latex are attached to the back once the tufting is complete to provide stability and a smooth finish on the back of the rug. The available pile types are cut pile, loop pile and cut and loop pile with a carved or uncarved finish.

- Bamboo Silk
- Viscose
- Nylon
- Polypropylene
A combination of fibers can also be used.
Hand Knotted
Hand Knotted rugs are the most elegant rugs made and are a piece of art. The rugs are made by an artisan who hand ties each knot. The quality of a Hand Knotted rug is determined by the number of knots per square inch. The pile of a Hand Knotted rug can be cut, cut and loop, and it can also use different pile heights. The largest a Hand Knotted rug can be made is 20’x30’.

- Hemp
- Linen
- Mohair
- Nettle
- Tencil
- Polypropylene
A combination of fibers can also be used.
Hand Loom
Hand Loom rugs are made on a hand run loom. The finish of a Hand Loom rug looks like a Hand Knotted rug. The biggest difference is the design has to be linear or geometrical and cannot have the intricate designs of a Hand Knotted rug. The pile of Hand Loom rugs can be cut, cut and loop or all loop. The largest a Hand Loom rug can be made is 20’x40’.

- Viscose
- Linen
- Tencil
- Polypropylene
A combination of fibers can also be used.
Flat Weave
A Flat Weave rug is made on a flat loom the fibers are woven together. Designs for a Flat Weave rug must be linear or geometrical. A Flat Weave rug looks like a thick piece of woven fabric and the face and the back look the same. There is no pile in a Flat Weave. The largest a Flat Weave rug can be made is 20’x40’
